Medellin Elite Catering cooks every order in one production kitchen in Medellín and drives it to your venue, so your location decides how quickly the food arrives and which services we can offer there. Since 2019 we have catered across the city, the southern Aburrá Valley and fincas farther out in Antioquia.

Where We Cater
We cater anywhere in the Aburrá Valley and at venues elsewhere in Antioquia, with the services on offer set by zone. Central Medellín, El Poblado, Envigado, Itagüí, Sabaneta and La Estrella get both drop-off delivery and staffed events, while fincas in eastern and western Antioquia take staffed events only.
The valley runs north to south along the Medellín River, and traffic on Avenida El Poblado, Avenida Las Vegas and the Autopista Sur decides most of our timings. We schedule departures around the morning and evening peaks and around pico y placa, the weekday driving restriction by license plate, so the food spends as little time on the road as possible.
Whatever the distance, the team arrives 2 to 3 hours before service to set up the buffet, the bar and the kitchen area. A longer drive simply means an earlier departure, not a shorter setup.
Medellín Neighborhoods
Inside the city, two neighborhoods have their own pages because so many of our events happen there. Both are close enough to our kitchen that hot food reaches the table within half an hour of leaving the ovens.
Catering in El Poblado covers rooftops around Provenza, hotel terraces near Parque Lleras, salones sociales in towers on the Loma de Los Balsos and offices along the Milla de Oro. Events in residential towers need approval from the building administration under Ley 675 of 2001, and we send the details they usually request.
Catering in Laureles serves the tree-lined circulares of Laureles and Estadio, the restaurants and homes around Carrera 70, and nearby Belén. At 15 to 30 minutes from the kitchen, it is our quickest zone for hot drop-off buffets, and central Medellín is served on the same terms.
South of Medellín: Envigado, Sabaneta and Itagüí
South of the city line, the three neighboring municipalities each have a dedicated page. They are separate towns with their own administrations, but they share the valley floor with Medellín and sit 30 to 50 minutes from our kitchen.
Catering in Envigado ranges from family houses near the town's main park to fincas in the green veredas climbing toward the Alto de Las Palmas. Some of those driveways are steep and narrow, so we ask for photos of the access before confirming which vehicle we send.
Catering in Sabaneta covers one of the smallest municipalities in Colombia, now full of new apartment towers with salones sociales, plus fincas in veredas such as La Doctora and Las Lomitas. Catering in Itagüí serves a busy industrial and commercial town where factory canteens, warehouses and offices sit beside dense residential streets, which suits worksite meals and company lunches.
La Estrella, just south of Itagüí and Sabaneta, shares Sabaneta's drive time and is served on the same terms.
Events Farther Out
Yes, we cater beyond these five areas, from Bello in the north of the valley to fincas across eastern and western Antioquia, and every one of these events is quoted individually. North of the city, Bello, Copacabana and Caldas are 40 to 60 minutes away, with drop-off delivery and staffed events both quoted per venue.
Wedding fincas in Llanogrande, Rionegro and La Ceja are reached through the Túnel de Oriente or over the Las Palmas road, and Guatapé and Santa Fe de Antioquia take up to 2.5 hours. These events are staffed only, and we check the finca's kitchen space, power supply, water and covered areas before we confirm.
Climate changes the plan as much as distance does. Llanogrande sits around 2,100 m above sea level and turns cold after dark, while Santa Fe de Antioquia is low and hot, which changes how we hold desserts and ceviche; in both, we ask for a tent during the rainy seasons of April to May and October to November.

Booking notice is the same in every zone: 48 hours for drop-off orders and 2 weeks for staffed events. Staffed events start at 15 guests in every zone.

Questions and answers
Service Area Questions
Do you cater outside Antioquia?
No, we only cater within the department of Antioquia. Inside it, we travel to fincas and venues up to about 2.5 hours from Medellín, including Guatapé and Santa Fe de Antioquia, with each event quoted individually.
Can you deliver a drop-off order to Llanogrande or Rionegro?
No, drop-off delivery is not offered in eastern Antioquia, because food would spend too long in transit without staff to reheat and serve it. Events there are fully staffed, with our team cooking or finishing dishes on site.
How do you keep food hot on long drives?
Hot dishes travel in insulated Cambro carriers that hold them above 60 °C, and cold dishes ride in our refrigerated van below 5 °C. On longer routes, fragile items such as fried patacones and empanadas are finished at the venue so they reach the table crisp.
