Bridal Shower Catering in Medellín
Medellin Elite Catering prepares bridal shower food for daytime parties in apartments, gardens and rented villas around Medellín. We bake the pandebono, fill the tea sandwiches and squeeze the juices in our own kitchen on the morning of the party.
Showers are usually organized by the maid of honor, a sister or the mother of the bride, and many of the hosts we work with are planning from another country. Our bilingual coordinators handle the menu, the bar and the table rentals in one conversation, so the host can concentrate on the games and the gifts.
Since 2019, daytime parties for 10 to 50 guests have been among the events we cater most often. They reward precision: small portions, pretty trays and drinks that stay cold in the midday sun.

Plan your event
Our Bridal Shower Catering
Our bridal shower catering serves daytime celebrations for 10 to 50 guests, usually between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. We plan food that can be eaten with one hand while guests open gifts, play games and take photos, so most of the menu is small, pretty and easy to pick up.
Hosts choose between a delivered spread they set out themselves and a staffed party where our team runs the buffet, the bar and the cleanup. Staffed showers include servers, chafing dishes, plates, flatware and glassware. Delivered spreads need 48 hours of notice and reach homes from central Medellín to Sabaneta, including our catering in Itagüí zone.
Brunch, High Tea or Garden Lunch
The three classic shower formats are brunch, high tea and a garden lunch, and the time of day usually decides which one fits. This table compares them.
| Brunch | High tea | Garden lunch | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Typical time | 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. | 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. | 12:30 to 4:00 p.m. |
| Food | Quiches, eggs, fruit, pastries | Tea sandwiches, scones, petits fours | Salads, grilled fish or chicken, sides |
| Drinks | Mimosas, juices, coffee | Teas, sparkling wine | Sangría, lemonades, wine |
| Best for | Relaxed groups, early starts | Elegant parties, older relatives | Fincas and gardens, larger groups |
Our high tea catering page goes deeper on tiered stands and tea service, and our brunch catering page lists the full breakfast menu.
Bridal Shower Menus
A bridal shower menu works best with five or six savory items, three sweet ones and a fruit board. Plan 10 to 14 small pieces per guest for a three-hour shower, because daytime guests graze steadily rather than eating one big plate.
Savory. Mini quiches with spinach and quesito, tea sandwiches of cucumber and cream cheese, chicken salad and smoked salmon, mini arepas with avocado and hogao, and yogurt parfaits with granola and mango.
Colombian bakery. Bite-size pandebono, almojábanas and buñuelo minis, baked or fried the same morning. Buñuelos lose their crunch within a few hours, so we fry them on site at staffed showers.
Sweet. Macarons in maracuyá, lulo and Colombian coffee flavors, small cups of tres leches, obleas with arequipe and mini cheesecakes. A fruit board of papaya, pineapple, pitaya and uchuvas brightens the table and gives lighter eaters a choice.
Mimosa and Mocktail Bars
A mimosa bar pairs sparkling wine with fresh juices that guests mix themselves, and a mocktail bar offers the same fun without alcohol. We squeeze the juices the morning of the party from local fruit: orange, mandarin, maracuyá, mango, lulo and guanábana.
For mocktails, our bartender mixes limonada de coco, a frosted coconut lemonade from the Caribbean coast, and a sparkling lulo spritzer with mint. Pregnant guests, drivers and anyone avoiding alcohol get a drink that looks as festive as the mimosas.
Sparkling wine can come from our bar or from the host. We keep bottles and juices in iced tubs below 5 °C, which matters on a sunny terrace where a jug of mango juice turns warm in 20 minutes.
Styling the Table
A styled shower table uses fresh flowers, coordinated linens and a dessert table as the focal point of the room. We set it up 2 to 3 hours before guests arrive, using tableware and linens in the palette you choose, from blush and gold to white and greenery.
Medellín is the flower capital of Colombia, so flowers here are fresh and plentiful. Partner florists source roses and hydrangeas from growers in Oriente Antioqueño and Santa Elena, the hill town of the silleteros who parade at Feria de las Flores.
Rentals such as pastel linens, gold-rim plates, cake stands and a flower wall are coordinated through partner suppliers and itemized on your quote. Our dessert catering team builds the cake and sweets so they match the flowers, down to the color of the macarons.

Questions and answers
Bridal Shower FAQs
Can you cater a surprise bridal shower?
Yes, surprise showers are something we set up regularly. We agree a setup window with the host while the bride is out, park the van away from the front door and use the service entrance if the building has one. The food, flowers and bar are ready 30 minutes before she walks in.
What is the minimum guest count?
Staffed bridal showers start at 15 guests. For smaller groups we deliver a drop-off brunch or tea spread with 48 hours of notice, or you can book a private chef for as few as 2 guests. Most showers we cater land between 15 and 35 guests.
